Opening the curtains this morning I looked outside to this beautiful view of the horse grazing in the paddocks amongst the early morning mist. So off I went outside in my pjs, hair a mess, thongs on in wet grass, lucky I live where I do and no one saw me!
One of my daughters favourite movies is Charlottes Web. I love that a movie that I watched as a child and a book I had read, is loved by her too. Every spiders web she see’s she asks where Charlotte is. Yes we have a lot of Charlotte’s out here!
This week the weather has been perfect for summer dresses, beach trips, and well ice cream! (not to mention the absolutely gorgeous cake I made and yes my waist line is feeling it) A wonderful day at the beach, a picnic by the lighthouse and a play in the park. Nothing tops a day out that I get the smiles like I did on this day from Lily. She loves the beach, she loves nature and picking up natural things at the beach with a wonder about the texture and “what’s that Mummy”. The beach on this day was probably our last trip for swimming, as after we get back from England it will surely be too cold to get in the water. So lots of splashing and swimming, laughing and giggling (especially when I stacked it in the water), and sleeping on the way home.
I have no idea what day I should be up to with the photo a day challenge, which I kind of stopped doing a few weeks ago. I really wanted to try and keep it going but life sometimes gets in the way and I didnt want to be adding and sharing photographs that were of household products!! So in trying to maintain it a little bit more I am AT LEAST going to do a photo of the week. A lot less pressure yet still having to keep me thinking of what to do. Today I downloaded the application Hipstomatic. And I am in love. Within 20 minutes I had 30 pictures. I love love love it. Below a collage of todays spoils. Kinda holgaish….very cool i think. If you have an iphone highly recommend!

Yesterday afternoon Lily and I went down to my parents to get some of their yummy Risotto to bring home for our dinner! (yes yuuummm) I took the camera with me as the light was just beautiful, and the weather was great, warm but not stinking hot. Lily has certainly started to interact with the camera, posing around and even looking into it. Prepare for an overload of Lily here, but she is just soooo cute I have to share!
On the 4th March, 3 years ago, an angel was born. Miss Lily Rose. The apple of my eye and absolute reason for living. This little girl is my life, and this week we celebrated her 3RD BIRTHDAY!! How very special. Lots of presents, lots of cake and of course lots of singing and blowing out candles. Throughout the singing notice how she has her fingers, showing us she is 3! Lily is just such a delight, i love her endlessly…..HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAIRY!!!!
And then we had the party….what a wonderful day. A day that was meant to be raining and storming, turned out to be sunny and steamy! A perfect day, Lily loved every second of it. Thankyou to everyone that came to her party and all of her awesome gifts. Was so great to celebrate with all her friends who are such a huge part of her life.
