Just for the girls | Sydney Child and Family Photographer

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Marie and her beautiful two little girls. The weather was windy, but the rain cleared up  and the sun was glowing. Down into the back paddocks we went where we were followed by horses and I got shocked by the electric fence! (it wasnt turned on last time!!) It took a little while for the smiles to start but once I threatened tickles, they eventually came out at the end. Some special photos of the bond between Marie and her two little girls. Hope you enjoy!

Gorgeous Winter Afternoon Light Part 2 | Sydney Child and Family Photographer

I have so many favourites from this session its hard to not load all of them! I love the family shots and how I have captured them interacting while I sat away, although little Miss A still curious as to where I was looking around for that lady that kept following her all afternoon. By the last few shots she was posing it up right in front of me, moving her head around like a professional! I hope you enjoy!

Engagement Shoot and Family Portraits Part 2 | Sydney Lifestyle Photography

So many good photos to share from this session. Yesterday I was doing more research on photoshop styles and effects for school, and I fell upon this effect with the orange glow and adding grain. I simply love it and the aged kind of polaroid feel it gives to the photos. The sparkle in the water just shows what a beautiful day we had, no clouds and crystal clear water. I had been asking them to close their eyes from the glare and then open so they weren’t squinting, and saw how nice it actually looked standing there with their eyes shut! Hope you guys enjoy, such a lovely couple Pete and Ria, congratulations on your engagement, you are a gorgeous couple!!!!

Engagement Shoot and Family Portraits by the Sea: Part One | Sydney Lifestyle Photographer

Today I had so much fun photographing mainly Ria and Pete for an E-Shoot. Little Ria, the little sister of my great friend Bek, who I have known since she was a little girl. Well now grown up and totally breathtakingly gorgeous, Miss Ria is engaged to Pete. Both Pete and Ria were amazing for this shoot. Both casual and excellent infront of the camera. But that wasnt it. Step in Bek, for some very fun and serious posing and her Mum, for some family shots, a wonderful example of the bond between mother and daughters, the love and admiration between them was so evident.

The weather was perfect and we all had a ball together. Congratulations Pete and Ria on your engagement. Hope you enjoy the first lot of pics, I just couldnt wait to share, there will be more to come later!!!!

Home Is Where The Heart Is | Sydney Child and Family Photographer

I first met Mel years ago working together at the Crown in Camden  in the kitchen. Our children were in the same swimming class a few years back, but I hadn’t seen her for about 2 years. I received an email from Mel saying how much she loved my work, and how much she wanted to eventually get photo’s done of her family. So when the time came she requested that we take the photos at her home, “As home is where the heart is” she said.

What a beautiful home it is too! Furnished beautifully, stylish, just like Mel!! The back of the house leads to a wonderful outdoor area with a huge deck and a large backyard which was beautifully green after the downpour of rain we have had. After some fun out the back, Mel had a secret location in mind, which had us all laughing our heads off, but hey, she was right it made for wonderful photos and the laughter between all of them was great. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek guys, the rest will be finished soon!

An Afternoon In The Park Part 2 | Sydney Child and Family Photographer

The second part to the wonderful shoot I did a few weeks ago. An afternoon at Macarthur Park in Camden. It was a cloudy afternoon, and the rain held off, lucky it wasnt this weekend just gone!  Hope you all enjoy your slideshow!

An Afternoon At The Park Part 1| Sydney Child and family Photographer

Last week I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with one of my Mum’s friends, Kath, and her beautiful extended family. It was a larger group which is why this will be in two parts, but these photos are so lovely I couldn’t wait to share! I hope you guys lke your sneaky peek…. more to come!!!!

Photos for Today????? | Sydney Child and Family Photographer

I have no idea what day I should be up to with the photo a day challenge, which I kind of stopped doing a few weeks ago. I really wanted to try and keep it going but life sometimes gets in the way and I didnt want to be adding and sharing photographs that were of household products!! So in trying to maintain it a little bit more I am AT LEAST going to do a photo of the week. A lot less pressure yet still having to keep me thinking of what to do. Today I downloaded the application Hipstomatic. And I am in love. Within 20 minutes I had 30 pictures. I love love love it. Below a collage of todays spoils. Kinda holgaish….very cool i think. If you have an iphone highly recommend!

In the light of the afternoon……. | Sydney Child Photographer

Yesterday afternoon Lily and I went down to my parents to get some of their yummy Risotto to bring home for our dinner! (yes yuuummm) I took the camera with me as the light was just beautiful, and the weather was great, warm but not stinking hot. Lily has certainly started to interact with the camera, posing around and even looking into it. Prepare for an overload of Lily here, but she is just soooo cute I have to share!

Never Work With Animals | Sydney Child and Family Photographer

Today I had the pleasure of shooting a friend that I went to school with. Emma and I used to study biology together, and my memories of that well weren’t Biology, but eating creme camerels (yes that is spelt wrong that is how Em pronounced it!).  The location that Em chose was where her horses are kept. As the saying goes never work with animals, and let me tell you children are a walk in the park compared to horses! We wanted to try and get them in the background of the photos, however mostly we could only get their butts in the frame, thats if they weren’t trying to sniff Emma’s head, eat the blanket or chew one of the girls dolls. I also had one who obviously likes the smell of Georgio as it was licking my back, sniffing down my shorts and pushing me along with its nose! Seems I had made a friend!! The girls got over it fairly quickly, even though it was an early start it was a very hot morning!! The humidity was a killer!!
