Today I had a wonderful time with this family. A & M have just welcomed Mr Charlie into the world. He was a delight. At 3 weeks he is certainly fitting into the busy household with his adoring brother and sister, not to mention Mum and Dad!!!! He wasn’t really into the photos being taken out in the lounge room with the family, so off to the bedroom for some settling and off he drifted. I had planned in my head and worked out how to get that shot I have wanted for so long of the baby with his chin in his hands, but this little man is so strong!!!! I tried moving those hands up under his face and the resistance was amazing. But you know what with how cute some of the shots are, Im not worried. He is just divine. Looking through todays shoot the words “So Cute” have been in full force!!! Its moments that I am able to get like this that make this job so rewarding. More of this little guy and his family to come…..

The second half of the cornflowerblue shoot saw many different lines of organic childrens clothing. This is where my little delight had her turn in front of the camera. She had patiently waited all day watching all of the bigger girls have their photos taken. And she did pretty well for her first fashion role. I was very proud! This week the weather has been perfect for summer dresses, beach trips, and well ice cream! (not to mention the absolutely gorgeous cake I made and yes my waist line is feeling it) A wonderful day at the beach, a picnic by the lighthouse and a play in the park. Nothing tops a day out that I get the smiles like I did on this day from Lily. She loves the beach, she loves nature and picking up natural things at the beach with a wonder about the texture and “what’s that Mummy”. The beach on this day was probably our last trip for swimming, as after we get back from England it will surely be too cold to get in the water. So lots of splashing and swimming, laughing and giggling (especially when I stacked it in the water), and sleeping on the way home.

On a hot day like it was on this particular day….there is only one place to be….THE BEACH!!!! Perfect location for the 46 degree heat day we had here at home! Little Miss E loved the sand and the sea, running around so much I was chasing around after her, she really made me work! Lots of laughs and smiles and some very special little moments with her very proud Dad, who bought her a beautiful new white dress, I was able to get a few shots of her in the dress and then off to the waters edge where she hit the deck on her stomach!

Lily has begun to HATE my camera, who can blame her its been in her face for the last 13 days. However a visit from another Photographer friend, and actually smiling at HER camera (you can imagine how impressed I was) later that afternoon when I got my camera back out Lily asked “get my milk Mummy”. So here she is with her little Milk Mo.

Today we had a snake outside so my motivation to go outside was VERY low, however the wind started blowing the cool change came through and then the rain. Lily loves to get outside with her “brella” although today we didnt last long out there in it as a storm rolled over the hills.

I spent the morning of this hot hot day at the beach for a client shoot. Once done I had a swim and then went and picked up Lily to take her for a swim. 46 degrees in Camden today!! So by the time we got home and unpacked, bathed and fed, Lily was asleep and I had no photo for today! So here she is the sleeping beauty.

Holiday Mode has kicked in. Beach yesterday, pool today. Lily’s first experience of Camden Pool. My childhood memories here go from screaming my lungs out at swimming lessons to enjoying paddle pops and red frogs at the end. So in keeping with the trend little miss devours her paddle pop.

Today off to the beach. We met up with friends, and Lily had such a good time playing in the sand and in the park. Summer Holidays are just the best! Wollongong is our haven from the heat at home.
