It has been such an honour to be photographing this family for 3 years in a row and seeing this little man grow up. We were so lucky with the weather to get our shoot in, a very humid morning before the storms rolled in for the afternoon. Robert has grown up to a sweet little man, with porcelain like skin and the most gorgeous big brown eyes. Simply too cute.x

I met Lara at the Wedding Expo at Eschol Park House earlier this year. I was so happy that she liked my work and that she was the lucky winner of a free album in the competition I ran that day. We held her engagement shoot at the location of her Wedding as to get to know the surrounds. I am looking forward to the wedding in the new year which will give a different feel to that autumn colours from this shoot, and hopefully a lush green summer setting!! What a delight it was to spend time with this little girl. She didn’t winge at all the entire time I was in front of her with my big black camera, no smiles, but continual glances straight into my lens. After the shoot was over we had a special little chat, where she did what babies do best, drooled all over my arm and then kept brilliant eye contact while she gooed and gaaaad to me. I was delighted at how she took to me. She made me seriously clucky…..I mean come on look at those eyes and that stunning hair. (I love red hair)

I met little Holly last year for her newborn shoot. How she has grown into a beautiful little girl. I had a wonderful time playing amongst flowers and also watching Mum and Dad sing and dance to get Miss Holly to smile and laugh. It is always wonderful having clients come back to you to catch up and see how much their children have grown. Enjoy.xx

I spent the afternoon of Valentines Day with Mr and Mrs Cupcake. Nicci is the very talented cake maker from Cupcakes in Camden, and a shoot with Nicci wouldn’t be right without….CUPCAKES. Nicci loves retro, vintage things just as I do and well I love cupcakes too. So I was SO happy I got to take the cakes home!!!! It was an absolute pleasure to meet this adorable little man who co-operated so well in going to sleep for our shoot. He has absolutely doting parents who are completely at ease with their new man. The result, some gorgeous photo’s that I just LOVE. These should make anyone sigh a big “awwwwwwwwww” from the cuteness.

January 2nd. Another HOT day. My partner in crime (my Mum) went shopping without me today. But bought home a present for me, Powderfinger Sunsets DVD. So as I am blogging I am right now listening to My Happiness, a song that if you, as an Aussie within my age group dont know the words to, should be ashamed. What a wonderful band that I have listened to and seen live since I was 18. I have been a happy passenger of the finger! (pardon the pun) Anyhow onto to today’s photo. Lily. Of Course. How could I not use her as my inspiration today. And it was a fleeting moment when she decided to wear for the first time in a LONG time La La’s hat. I haven’t taken many photo’s of Lily recently so she was more than happy to pose it up. We will see how she feels at Day #31!!!!

What a way to start blogging for 2011. This shoot was in December and it has fast become one of my favourite shoots ever, with so many amazing images. Mark and Mary-Frances met online. But not on a dating site. On a music forum which Mark was the administrator. They began chatting about music to begin with, then what followed was phone calls lasting for hours. Meeting up wasnt so easy, as Mary-Frances is from Mississippi. So what did he do…..he put her on a plane and flew her over here. They have been together now for 6 years, happily married and with a gorgeous little man Matty. We spent what was the windiest afternoon (it was the day we all had gale force winds) by the shore in Abbotsford. And what I was able to capture I love, and both Mary-Frances and Mark enjoying the time to be able to cuddle and enjoy each other in front of the camera. A few weeks ago we braved the trip down to Wollongong, even though the weather wasn’t looking the best. Once we arrived, it was raining. But as luck would have it, the rain past and we had a humid and rain free session (we did however work rather quickly just in case). Lots of giggles in the sand and walking on the rocks, a fun session had by all. (puppy included).

A Lot Happens In a Year | Sydney Child and Family Photographer

How quickly the year has gone. I cant believe that it has been an entire year since I last visited this family to take photographs of their baby Robert. A year later and he has certainly grown up, but still so super cute with super proud parents. He was for a short time fascinated with my camera and he looked straight down the lens at me with his beautiful big brown eyes!!!
